Influenza (flu)

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses and can cause mild to severe illness. Each year, an average of 36,000 people in the U.S. die from the flu and more than 200,000 are hospitalized.

Members of Niner Nation can help reduce the spread of the flu by getting a yearly vaccine.

A Chance to Win $100 on Your 49er ID Card

Any student or employee who completes the flu vaccine attestation form by Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at 5 p.m. will be entered to win a chance for $100 to be placed on their 49er ID card. The funds can be used for dining and retail purchases on campus. Please review the complete campaign rules for more information.
